Lychee Tree Propagation Air Layering
Air layering, also known as Marcotting or Gootee, is the most successful and widely used commercial method for propagating Lychee (Litchi chinensis). Unlike seed-grown trees which can take $10\text{--}15$ years to fruit and may not stay true-to-type, air-layered trees are genetically identical to the parent and can begin bearing fruit within $3\text{--}5$ years. This video provides a technical demonstration of the process, from branch selection to final nursery establishment.
