Biofloc Fish Farming Technology
Biofloc Technology (BFT) is a sustainable and environmentally friendly aquaculture technique that transforms waste into high-quality protein feed. By maintaining a specific Carbon-to-Nitrogen (C:N) ratio, beneficial heterotrophic bacteria are encouraged to grow, which then consume toxic nitrogenous wastes and turn them into "flocs" that serve as a nutritious food source for the fish. This video provides a technical guide on implementing Biofloc systems for high-density, low-water-exchange fish farming.
